VINEYARD DESCRIPTION

Bodegas Covila owns some 250 vineyard
hectares in Lapuebla de Labarca, Elciego and
Laguardia, some of the best locations in Rioja
Alavesa. 

A BRIEF VINTAGE DESCRIPTION
This vintage was officially rated as Very Good. Humid spring, dry summer, moderate day-time and low night-time temperatures

during September provided ideal conditions for obtaining high quality grapes.

HARVESTING
The harvest started at the end of September. All the grapes were manually harvested and then transported to the winery in small crates.

 

WINE- MAKING
 
Controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, employing de-stemmed grapes and cold maceration of the grapes. It has been aged in America oak barrels for a minimum time of 12 months.

 

TASTING NOTES
Very elegant wine, modern with matured fruit notes well blended with some vanilla and cacao hints from its oak ageing. Once in mouth it is tasty, Wide and powerful, with an attractive touch of cacao.
